HTC One X+ Review : Our Rating 9/10

HTC One X+ Review

Introduction:

The HTC One X+ is a decked-up version of the One X, which shipped as the first phone with a quad-core processor back in the spring, but arrived on US soil with a dual-core Snapdragon S4. With the One X+, both the US and international versions sport a 1.7 GHz quad-core Tegra 3+ processor.

The upgrade was necessitated by the competition going into the holiday season, and with the most generous internal memory amount from all flagships at launch, Android Jelly Bean, plus the upgraded processor and battery capacity, the One X+ can stand its ground against threats like the Galaxy S III or the Optimus G. Does the upgrade warrant the higher price, though? Read on to find out...

Microsoft Surface RT Review : Our Rating-8.5/10

Microsoft Surface RT Review

Introduction:

Microsoft, as we know for a long time now, has always had a formidable presence in the computing space. Even now, they still command a sizable piece of the pie, but as we’ve seen, there is a stark shift in what people are using on a daily basis for their computing needs. A few years ago, everyone seemed intent on riding the wave surrounding netbooks, but as we’ve witnessed, it was short lived. Ultimately, Apple redefined the entire computing spectrum with the introduction with the iPad – and of course, the rest was history. Continuing to dominate the scene, consumers quickly realized the advantages that tablets have to offer over traditional laptops. And for a while there, Microsoft sat content in pushing forward with its usual computing platform offerings.

Thankfully, they too quickly realized how tablets are increasingly outpacing laptops – as they prove to have that killer combination of pricing and mobility to attract consumers. Interestingly, rather than following the same routine of just solely building its own tablet platform from the ground up, the Redmond based company is relying on itself to produce its own device as well – much like what we’ve seen with the Xbox and Microsoft Zune (and the Kin phones). Enter the Microsoft Surface, a sleek and ultra-modern looking tablet that’s gunning to make a charge in the competitive tablet market. More importantly, however, is whether Microsoft is able to soundly capture the embodiment of a highly usable tablet platform with Windows RT. Naturally, there’s a lot at stake riding on the back of the Surface – both from a hardware and software perspective.

Samsung ATIV S Review: Our Rating 9/10

Samsung ATIV S Review

Introduction:

Samsung ATIV S is quiet similar to Samsung's current Droid flagship, the undisputed champion Samsung galaxy SIII in terms of hardware specs, but with different operating system. So is Ativ S going to retain Samsung's top position in Windows OS market?? Find Out in this review..

Samsung's ATIV S is a strange kind of Windows Phone device. Not because it does anything wrong, but because it really stands out from the first batch of Windows Phone 8 devices. While Nokia and HTC are trying to come up with most lively and cheerful colors, Samsung has decided to go with the strict, business kind of look with the ATIV S, resembling some of the company's old Windows Mobile devices. But can “strict” and “business” go hand-in-hand with “Windows Phone 8” – a platform which Microsoft is desperately trying to market to consumers?

The ATIV S differs from the rest in the WP8 universe with one more thing – in a typical Samsung fashion, it offers a very large display, measuring 4.8 inches. Although there are other options with pretty sizable screens, none is really that big. But the typical Windows Phone customer may turn to be different from the Android one. The ATIV S is a WP8 smartphone that can tell us if Samsung will be able to repeat the tremendous success it has seen on the market for Android devices. Let us examine!

Sprint Flash coming soon with 4.5-inch screen, 12MP cam and 1.5GHz dual-core processor for $130

Remember the ZTE Flash? We won't blame you if you don't as it has been quite a while since we last heart anything about it. In fact, all we have is a leak dating back to July revealing most of the hardware specs of the device. But just a few minutes ago, an anonymous tipster slipped this under our door, which leads us to believe that the ZTE Flash is close to launch, and it will actually be known as the Sprint Flash.

The spy photos that we received confirm that the Sprint Flash will sport a 4.5-inch screen, presumably with HD resolution. A couple of cameras will also be in stock – a main one of 12 megapixels on the back, and a 1MP front-facing shooter. The processor inside the smartphone is most likely the Snapdragon S4, MSM8960, with two cores running at 1.5GHz. 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and a 1,730mAh battery are also present on the specs sheet. Last but not least, the Sprint Flash will come with Android 4.0 out of the box, if the spy shots are to be trusted.

Unfortunately, the specific release date of the Sprint Flash is not being mentioned, but it appears to be scheduled to launch within the first half of November. It will be priced at only $130 on contract after rebate, or $450 outright. Oh, and by the way, a titanium Samsung Galaxy S II appears to be coming too.

LG Optimus G review: Grand Slam

Introduction (Our Rating- 8/10)

Designed to a flagship standard and powered by the latest in handheld computing, the Optimus G cannot hope for a warm welcome from rivals but is due every bit of their respect. LG is not asking for it - it's getting ready to earn it.
Early on this season, LG was looked upon to put the missing piece in the Android quad-core puzzle. It delivered that alright with the Optimus 4X HD, but were far from done. Their Optimus G completes what's nothing short of a grand slam, and does so with a flourish.

Samsung Galaxy Note II US review: The Beast Unleashed

Following closely the footsteps of its international sibling, the US Samsung Galaxy Note II takes on our review course. Just like its smaller brother, the Galaxy S III, the Samsung Galaxy Note II is launching across all major carriers.

The US launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note II represents a major shift in the company's product lineup across the Atlantic. Unlike the first generation Galaxy Note and, more recently the Galaxy S III, the second generation of the popular phablet didn't need a chipset transplant to swim across the pond. This means that users in the United States will have the pleasure of using the same hardware as the rest of the world. In the case of the Samsung Galaxy Note II we are talking an Exynos 4412 Quad chipset with four Cortex-A9 CPU cores.
Here goes the Samsung Galaxy Note II's full list of talents.

Sony Xperia Odin surfaces, looks like previous leak

Sony's alleged next flagship droid has leaked anew this time with an official photo. The Sony Xperia C650X Odin official photo is a render, which looks pretty close to the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 and slightly resembles a Motorola RAZR with its beveled edges and use of metal in the frame.
The render is very close to the previous live picture we saw of the Xperia Odin.

Sony Xperia Odin render (click for larger image)
The Xperia C650X Odin is rumored to feature a 5" screen with the impressive 1080p resolution, resulting in an mind-blowing density of 440 ppi, a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with four 1.5 GHz Krait cores, a 13 MP snapper on the back, 2 GB of RAM and 32 gigs of internal storage.
Judging by the specs the Sony Xperia Odin should give the HTC J butterfly a run for its money.
Still the render could turn out to be a well made hoax and all the rumored specs are subject to change.
