As per its earlier commitment, realme has recently unveiled the GT5, the latest addition to its high-end GT series of smartphones in China. This smartphone features a 6.7-inch 144Hz 1.5K flat T7+ OLED display manufactured by Tianma. It also boasts several impressive display features including 2160Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming, up to 1400 nits brightness, a slim 2.31mm chin, and narrow side bezels measuring just 1.46mm.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC coupled with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It also supports Whirlwind memory engine 2.0, which efficiently manages background apps.
This smartphone is the first to be certified with Pixelwork’s IRX gaming experience from realme, setting a new standard for ultra-high frame rate gaming mobile devices. Its independent display chip X7 enables a frame rate of up to 144 fps, compatible with 110 mainstream mobile games. The League of Legends mobile game can run in its native 144-frame mode.
It boasts a geek performance panel that allows users to customize CPU frequency and multi-core scheduling. The phone incorporates a variable heat dissipation system with a maximum cooling area of 20827mm², Ice core cooling system Max, high-performance graphite material, and a 2000Hz gaming control engine. It also supports Wi-Fi 7.
The realme GT5 comes in colors named Flowing Silver Mirror and Star Mist Oasis. These colors feature Star Mist AG technology, a unique liquid silver technology that creates a fluid metal texture with a smooth surface.
A transparent RGB design called Halo Pro is integrated into the phone, consisting of 4 halo light strips. This system offers 26 custom colors, music rhythm synchronization, alarm clock light effects, and notification light effects for 10 exclusive contacts and applications.
In terms of camera, the phone is equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor with OIS, HyperShot 2.0, Turbo RAW lossless image algorithm, and Street shooting mode 3.0. It also includes an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera.
The phone comes in two battery variants. The first model has a 4600mAh battery with 240W fast charging, capable of reaching 1-20% charge in 80 seconds, 50% in 4 minutes, and full charge in approximately 9 minutes. The second model features a 5240mAh battery with 150W charging, which can achieve 50% charge in 7 minutes.
