Nubia's first 1-inch 35mm camera-equipped phone pictured

ZTE stands out due to its utilization of 35mm lenses in the primary cameras of select flagship models, such as the nubia Z50S Pro and its predecessor, the Axon 40 Ultra. Now, it appears poised to take a significant stride forward by introducing a 35mm camera featuring a 1-inch type sensor.

In a recent development, Digital Chat Station shared an image showcasing a prototype of a nubia flagship placed alongside the existing nubia Z50S Pro. This comparison underscores the substantial increase in size that the lens and resultant camera module must undergo to accommodate a 1-inch sensor, surpassing the current 1/1.49-inch unit housed within the Z50S Pro.

The source further reveals that the phone captured in the image incorporates the Sony IMX989 sensor and indicates that nubia plans to unveil the phone once it achieves optimal volume optimization.

Beyond the noteworthy camera housing, the two phones exhibit an identical appearance, down to the arrangement of buttons. This suggests that the prospective device might be named the nubia Z50S Ultra.
