Realme GT5: Design, 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED display, up to 5240mAh battery, up to 240W fast charging and more confirmed

Ahead of its China launch next week, realme has provided details about the design and specifications of the upcoming realme GT5.

The GT5 will feature a "Flowing Silver Mirror" design, offering a liquid metal silver texture. A transparent glass section next to the camera displays the text "Snapdragon 8 Gen 2." The camera area boasts a "micro-suspension penetrating design," with the rear three cameras integrated into the transparent glass window.

The company has also shared an image of the display, showcasing an ultra-narrow flat screen without visible bezels. The frame is impressively slim at just 1.46mm. Xu Qi Chase, realme China's CMO, stated that the realme GT5 boasts the most appealing front view among phones with flat screens, and he anticipates users will be astonished by its stunning appearance.

The realme GT5 will include a Pro-XDR high dynamic display that enhances the visual experience of light and dark content through a flagship algorithm. This technology offers a remarkable eightfold increase in brightness, according to the company.

In recent days, realme has confirmed various key specifications, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, up to 24GB LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage, Whirlwind Memory Engine 2.0, and an X7 independent display chip for up to a 144Hz gaming experience.

Realme claims that the GT5 will be the world's first mass-produced phone featuring 240W fast charging. Additionally, a SuperVOOC S chip will be present, along with a 150W model sporting a substantial 5240mAh battery. A 50MP rear camera with a 1/1.56" Sony IMX890 sensor was previously revealed in earlier reports.

The price of the realme GT5 will be disclosed during its launch event on August 28th.
